Open Door Ministries to Partner for Spring Cleaning Event

HIGH POINT, NC – With spring coming into the North Carolina Triad in full force, Open Door Ministries is once again partnering with Barnabas Furniture Bank to host their second annual Spring Cleaning Donation Event, sponsored by the Piedmont Federal Bank and Chick-fil-A on John Gordon Lane. This event will be held Saturday, April 18th, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the High Point branch of the Piedmont Federal Savings Bank.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be able to provide a service that won't only help the community clean out for spring but also take these items for others to use,” said Ryan Ross, Executive Director of Open Door Ministries of High Point.

Items being accepted at this event will consist of non-perishable foods, clothing for men and women, shoes, houseware and kitchenware

Open Door Ministries serves 18.4% of High Point’s residents and will continue to serve until its mission of eliminating homelessness can be met. Meals are made daily, and the food pantry is open four days a week to aid in feeding those in need. Donated clothing will be distributed to the public and the ODM homeless shelter on weekdays.

Partnering with Barnabas Furniture Bank allows for accepting furniture donations to help those who are on the path to self-sufficiency in the area. Furnishings are provided at no cost.

Media coverage is welcome. We ask that you do so with respect for those present. Please find an ODM staff member for best places to set up so as not to impede on the event’s movement.
