Open Door Ministries Acquires Human Trafficking Resource Center to Expand Services for Women and Survivors of Human Trafficking

High Point, NC — Open Door Ministries of High Point, Inc. (ODM), a leading nonprofit serving individuals experiencing housing instability, food insecurity, and financial hardship, is proud to announce the acquisition of the Human Trafficking Resource Center (HTRC), effective July 1, 2025.

The acquisition includes all staff, assets, intellectual property, and program operations of HTRC. This strategic expansion addresses a growing and urgent need: providing focused support and advocacy for survivors of human trafficking. HTRC, under the leadership of Brianna Racchini, has been a vital community resource for survivors and those vulnerable to exploitation. The program will continue operating independently under the ODM umbrella, maintaining its current office at 1220 N. Main Street in High Point.

“Women and trafficking survivors in our community face a unique and complex set of challenges,” said Ryan Ross, Executive Director of ODM. “This acquisition strengthens our ability to bridge the gap between homelessness and trafficking and ensures long-term support for survivors.” Since its relaunch in 2022 (originally as Triad Ladder of Hope), HTRC has directly assisted over 40 survivors of human trafficking and educated more than 2,500 individuals on the signs, risks, and realities of trafficking and exploitation.

• 24-Hour Crisis Hotline: Immediate response and support from trained case managers.

• Ongoing Case Management: Access to critical resources including housing, food, clothing, medical care, mental health, legal aid, and documentation recovery.
