Open Door Ministries Expands Mental Health Counseling Availability for the Homeless

HIGH POINT, NC - Open Door Ministries (ODM) is an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive care for those experiencing homelessness in our community. Routine programs such as financial literacy, medical education, and more, bring far too often, unreachable resources to our residents and clients. As mental health becomes an even more important aspect of the journey to self-sufficiency, ODM is proud to announce a partnership with local mental health counselors to provide direct services to our guests.

MyTarapy LLC, led by Dr. Tara Snow a local mental health counseling center in High Point will join the ODM family as a service provider for those experiencing homelessness. As a mentor-focused agency, MyTarapy is more than just an advisor; they are a trusted guide, a supportive advocate, and a valuable resource that can significantly impact your personal and professional growth.

Offering services such as group therapy, and the potential for individual therapy sessions, for free, to the guest of Open Door Ministries shelter, MyTarapy, will be utilizing their experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Faith-Based Counseling and more to address the foundational issues that many of our clients and guests face every day.

Open Door Ministries Executive Director, Ryan Ross, stated that “With the team at MyTarapy, lives will be transformed here at ODM, not only are we addressing mental health by offering referrals, we are bringing a dedicated team to meet our guests where they are.”
