Open Door Ministries to serve Thanksgiving Meals

For Immediate Release

November 21, 2025

HIGH POINT, NC - Open Door Ministries (ODM) is an organization dedicated to providing

comprehensive care for those experiencing homelessness in our community. Routine programs such as financial literacy, medical education, and more, bring far too often, unreachable resources to our residents and clients. As food insecurity grows in our community, the readily available, and plentiful meals of the ODM Father’s Table are a beacon of hope for many.

The Father’s Table soup kitchen, one of ODM’s seven programs, provides over 350 meals each day to our men, women, and children facing food insecurity and hunger. These meals are balanced, hot meals provide not only nourishment, but hope as well. During the holiday season, the warmth, hope and encouragement that these meals provide is crucial for our neighbors.

In our attempts to ensure a fun and happy holiday for all, Open Door Ministries will be providing meals for an extended period of time on Thursday, November 27, 2025, for the celebration of Thanksgiving. Numerous churches, civic organizations, and volunteer groups will be on-site to serve our community.

Meals will be served at 400 N. Centennial St. from 11am – 1pm and 4pm – 6pm. This will

be a traditional Thanksgiving meal. This meal will be served in the dining room of ODM.

Open Door Ministries provides meals to our community and relies on hundreds of volunteers and donors each week to ensure hot meals go to those in need. Those interested in donating may visit www.opendoorministrieshp.org/donate to learn more about the needs of ODM and how to assist our community.

For questions about this press release or to arrange time to meet, please contact ODM Director of Development Ivan Huffman at ihuffman@odm-hp.org
